Award-winning, intenetionally acknowledged cinematographer. Born 13 July 1972 in Lutsk. In 1995 graduated from the camerawork department, the cinematography faculty of National University of Theatre, Film and TV of Karpenko-Kary (Olexiy Prokopenko's workshop). Since 1996 has been a cameraman at "Filmotechnic" company, the only post-Soviet company to receive two Engineering-technical awards of Oscar Academy Awards. In 2009 one of the projects filmed by Sergiy Mykhalchuk was a round-world Columbus Quest: columbusquest.org.
